Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students with hearing impairments in a vibrant educational setting near Kasilof, AK. This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time Sign Language Interpreter positions from August 19, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering accessible and inclusive learning environments, bridging communication between students, educators, and staff. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for empowering students, the ability to adapt to various classroom scenarios, and strong professional standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current National Sign Language Interpreter Certification required Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with educational interpreting Previous experience in a school environment preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to upholding the confidentiality and rights of students
Key Responsibilities:
