9651422-95969 Job Description Step into a meaningful role supporting hard of hearing and deaf students as a Sign Language Interpreter on a full-time contract. This onsite opportunity, located near Paradise, CA, offers approximately 30 hours each week across the academic year, with potential to continue through the 2026-2027 school year. Youll be facilitating communication in middle and high school settings, ensuring every student has the resources they need for a successful educational experience.

Your essential qualifications and experience:

Certified by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, OR a minimum score of 4.0 on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or

NAD/ACCI

assessment. (EIPA under 4.0 may be considered, with alternate responsibilities.) Skilled in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting. Comfortable assisting in academic subjects and supporting vocational or life skills development. Experience working in classroom environments, supporting educators and participating in school activities. Preference for middle or high school age group can be accommodated.

Key responsibilities in this position:

Interpret classroom instruction and interactions between students, teachers, and peers. Support students with classroom assignments, reading, writing, and math. Monitor and assist students during community, outdoor, and classroom activities. Collaborate with faculty and staff to build an inclusive educational environment.
