Job Description

Bring your expertise in sign language interpreting to support student success in a vibrant, inclusive middle school setting near Greenville, SC. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful role, working closely with a middle schooler who has transferred from Colorado and participates in general education classes throughout the day. The assignment ensures you'll make a direct impact, partnering alongside a dedicated DHH Teacher for part of the student's schedule. Key Qualifications EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required) Successful completion of the written EIPA test High school diploma or above Ability to pass a background check Commitment to the SLI Code of Ethics (to be signed during onboarding) Prior experience in a school environment or with 1:1 assignments is a plus Role Highlights Full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week, with daily shifts aligning with standard school hours (~8:15 am - 3:30 pm or ~8:00 am - 3:45 pm) Contract runs through the end of May 2027, providing stability for both you and the student 1:1 interpretive support for a dynamic middle school student, assisting during general education classes and collaborating with teachers and staff Fulfilling work that enhances access and inclusion in the educational setting This position offers the opportunity to build a strong, professional bond with a student while collaborating with teachers and staff in a positive school environment.
