Job Description

The Precast Production Manager is responsible for managing plant production operations, personnel, equipment, materials, quality control, and production schedules. The role coordinates closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, purchasing, project management, and field/installation teams to ensure precast products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications, and customer Key Responsibilities Production Management Plan, schedule, and oversee daily precast concrete production. Ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and project deadlines are met. Monitor production rates, labor utilization, material consumption, and productivity. Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. Coordinate multiple production lines, forms, and crews. Personnel & Leadership Supervise production supervisors, foremen, operators, finishers, and laborers. Establish staffing requirements and production priorities. Train, coach, and evaluate production employees. Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Manage employee performance and address disciplinary issues when necessary. Coordinate production schedules with project managers and shipping/installation teams. Review drawings and production requirements before fabrication begins. Reduce waste, rework, downtime, and overtime. Track key performance indicators such as production volume, labor hours, quality defects, and on-time delivery. Develop and implement lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in precast concrete, concrete manufacturing, construction, or a related production environment . Previous supervisory or management experience. Strong understanding of precast manufacturing processes and concrete production. Knowledge of reinforcing steel, embeds, forms, casting, curing, stripping, finishing, and handling. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
