Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Acoustical Ceiling Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining acoustical ceiling systems that enhance interior spaces with sound-absorbing and aesthetic features. Your expertise will contribute to creating functional, visually appealing environments in commercial and institutional projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites while honing your skills in building material installation and technical interpretation. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise installation of acoustical ceiling systems Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools to cut and fit ceiling tiles, panels, and grid components Install acoustical ceiling tiles, grid systems, suspension frameworks, and related fixtures following manufacturer specifications and blueprint requirements Utilize hand tools, power tools, ladders, heavy equipment as needed to carry out installations efficiently and safely Conduct inspections during installation to ensure quality standards are met and materials are properly aligned and secured Collaborate with project managers, contractors, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate work seamlessly on-site Follow safety protocols diligently while operating equipment such as scaffolding or lifts; maintain a clean and organized work environment Qualifications Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on building material installation; prior experience with acoustical ceilings is highly preferred Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and heavy equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with construction management practices including estimating, inspection, and project coordination Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for precise fitting of ceiling components Knowledge of related trades such as drywall installation, plastering, tile masonry, roofing, or framing is a plus Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or team members Physical capability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders safely, and work at heights for extended periods Prior experience is not required . Pay:
$18.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
