A Video Editor edits films, primarily smaller film productions or video recordings of events. Edits film for review, and collaborates with directors and producers to create a final production. Uses specialized editing software. May supervise editing assistants.
About the job: We're hiring a video editor who can turn raw footage, product screens, and rough ideas into videos that people actually watch: product demos, feature walkthroughs, customer stories, founder content, and short-form social cuts. This is a hands-on role for someone who edits fast, uses AI tools as a normal part of their workflow, and ships without needing to be chased.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Edit product demos, explainer videos, and feature launch clips end-to-end. 2. Repurpose long-form content, including webinars, podcasts, and interviews, into short-form videos for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram. 3. Create and integrate motion graphics, screen recordings, captions, sound design, and color correction. 4. Leverage AI tools for scripting support, voice-overs, subtitles, B-roll generation, and streamlining repetitive editing tasks. 5. Manage the complete video production pipeline from brief, rough cut, revisions, final export, and delivery. 6. Maintain a consistent visual identity across all published video content. 7. Proactively suggest creative ideas, formats, and engaging hooks rather than simply executing briefs. Why Join Us 1. Ship work that goes live immediately and reaches a real audience. 2. Full creative ownership, no layers of approval. 3. Freedom to test new AI tools and workflows on the company's dime. 4. A team that values output over hours logged.
