Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of nursing administration, particularly in assisted living environments. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with resident rights, Medicare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care. Responsibilities Oversee the nursing staff, ensuring effective supervision and support for all team members. Ensure that resident rights are upheld and that all nursing practices align with regulatory standards. Lead the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality. Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure compliance with MDS (Minimum Data Set) requirements and other regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for residents. Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for patient needs while maintaining budgetary constraints. Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional development and growth within the team. Stay updated on best practices in acute care and assisted living to continuously improve service delivery. Requirements Valid nursing license with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in assisted living or acute care environments. Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising nursing staff. Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and MDS documentation processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on quality patient care. Commitment to upholding resident rights and promoting a culture of respect within the facility.
