In person Position Overview Elite Preparatory Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced part-time Spanish teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, supportive classroom where high school students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish while developing an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. This position is well suited for an educator who enjoys working with small classes, providing individualized support, and designing meaningful lessons for students with different levels of language proficiency. Responsibilities Teach high school Spanish courses at the appropriate introductory, intermediate, or advanced level. Develop engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives. Emphasize practical communication, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, and writing. Incorporate the history and cultures of Spanish-speaking communities into instruction. Differentiate instruction according to students' abilities and learning needs. Assess student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback. Maintain accurate attendance, assignment, and grade records. Communicate professionally with students, families, and school administrators. Participate in occasional faculty meetings or school activities when necessary. Foster a respectful, inclusive, and academically purposeful classroom environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Spanish, education, world languages, or a related field required; master's degree preferred. Strong proficiency in written and spoken Spanish. Previous experience teaching Spanish at the middle school, high school, or college level. Ability to design engaging lessons for small classes and diverse learners. Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to student growth, cultural understanding, and professional collaboration. Teaching certification is preferred but may not be required for a highly qualified candidate. Successful completion of required background checks.
