Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an ASL Paraprofessional in a dynamic educational setting near Universal City, TX. This assignment will allow you to make a meaningful impact on students' daily classroom experience while advancing your professional skills. This role begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of May 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Youll work on-site in a collaborative school environment, acting as an essential bridge for students who use American Sign Language to communicate. Specific school assignments and caseload details will be shared soon.
Primary qualifications and requirements:
Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school setting Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required Ability to foster supportive, inclusive learning environments Flexibility to adapt to evolving student and classroom needs Current and valid licensure as required for paraprofessional roles Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check per credentialing guidelines Key responsibilities: Provide direct classroom support to students using ASL to access curriculum and classroom activities Assist lead teachers with lesson implementation and modifications Encourage engagement and participation through individualized support Document student progress and collaborate with educators and specialists Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical practices in all interactions This is a contract position where your expertise will help students thrive academically and socially.
