ANNOUNCMENT OF POSITION VACANCY ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary:
Colorado Mesa University is seeking applications for a part-time in-person Lecturer of Economics. The ideal candidates would have experience teaching Economics principles courses. Part-time faculty at CMU are part-time employees who are hired on an as-needed basis. This job ad is to collect applications for qualified lecturers but communication to applicants may be delayed as faculty needs fluctuate.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. This position will consist of teaching one to two 3-credit hour courses per semester, starting fall 2026 (mid-August). Courses taught will be primarily the 200-level Principles of Microeconomics and/or Principles of Macroeconomics courses the first semester with options to teach upper-level economics courses in the future depending on experience. In addition, the Lecturer must hold a minimum of two office hours weekly for one course, plus a minimum of one office hour for each additional course, up to a maximum of five office hours per week.Salary:
$600.00 - $850.00 per credit hour. Adjunct faculty are pair on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with education ad experience. •Minimum Qualifications Required:
Masters degree in Economics or closely-related discipline with at least 18 graduate level credit hours in Economics.Preferred Qualifications:
