The ideal candidate will have a strong basketball background and a commitment to developing young athletes through skill-building, teamwork, and positive mentorship. This role involves coaching players of varying skill levels, fostering a supportive team environment, and promoting both athletic and personal growth. The Basketball Coach will be responsible for designing training programs, leading practices, and ensuring all players remain engaged and continuously improving. Responsibilities Develop and implement effective training programs tailored to players' skill levels and development goals Lead regular practices focused on fundamentals, teamwork, and game strategies Instruct players on basketball rules while promoting good sportsmanship and discipline Monitor player progress and provide constructive, individualized feedback Organize and facilitate team meetings to discuss goals, strategies, and player development Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a consistent and cohesive coaching approach Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and accountability among players Requirements Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the AAU or high school level Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, techniques, rules, and game strategies Ability to effectively work with children and young adults in both gym and outdoor environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach, motivate, and inspire players Passion for coaching and a commitment to developing athletes' skills and character CPR/First Aid certification is preferred Availability to work weekday afternoons and occasional weekends Join us in shaping the future of young athletes through the love of basketball!
