Overview The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing and tracking orders to ensure efficient operations within the supply chain. This position involves overseeing the warehouse crew, auditing picked orders, verifying received freight, inventory management processes, analyzing data for decision-making, and collaborating with various departments to enhance overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles. Responsibilities Conduct regular audits of orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Utilize scanners to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records. Analyze order data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for process improvement. Implement best practices in inventory control, including root cause analysis for discrepancies. Coordinate with inventory teams for shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes. Skills Strong background in supply chain management, including warehouse distribution and logistics. Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, using scanners Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Communication and teamworking Ability to stand for four to six hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds Strong analytical mindset with the ability to visualize data effectively for decision-making.
