None Job Summary:
The Freshman Defensive Line Coach is responsible for the technical development and mentorship of entry-level student-athletes. This role focuses on teaching the fundamentals of defensive line play —including stance, start, and gap integrity—while reinforcing the defensive schemes used by the Varsity program. You serve as both a technician and a motivator, ensuring players develop the physical skills and discipline necessary to progress through the program.Qualifications:
Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of a program Cleared background investigation Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below Positive public relations skills Strongly encouraged to complete a coaching principles courses Complete a First Aid Course with CPR componentMajor Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate total development and promotion of the program Promotes all athletes to participate in sports and activities throughout the school year Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions Adjust coaching techniques, based on the ability of athletes Arrange and conduct program-specific activities, such as summer training, skills-improvement sessions, and pre-season try-outs Instruct athletes in rules, game strategies, and performance principles Provide training, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for competition Hire, supervise, and train assistant coaches Develop and arrange competition schedules and programs with the approval of the Athletic Director Generate additional funds for support of the program through approved fundraisers Inventory and issue Athletic Equipment Professionally communicate with the media Carefully operate under state/league/school rules and regulations. Understand rules and regulations and comply with High school activities (See link: http://www.idhsaa.org/manage/articlefiles/11-Football.pdf Discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation. Provide all documentation to the Athletic Director to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examination, parental consent, and eligibility. Effectively manage a budget Manage and coordinate Athletic facilities Ability to evaluate assistant coaches Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner. Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment. Adhere to the KMS academic standards Maintain a school website for communication purposesAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
