The ideal candidate will possess strong coaching expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for inspiring young athletes to reach their full potential. As an integral part of our team, you will help elevate our gymnastics program through effective coaching, leadership, and dedication to safety and athlete development. Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and executing gymnastics training sessions for levels 3-10, ensuring progressive skill development. Provide hands-on coaching during practices and competitions, demonstrating proper techniques and fostering a positive learning environment. Support the Gymnastics Director in managing daily operations, including scheduling, athlete progress tracking, and equipment maintenance. Promote safety protocols by ensuring all activities adhere to established guidelines; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) in emergencies when necessary. Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and staff to provide updates on progress and address any concerns or questions. Lead behavior management strategies to maintain a respectful and focused atmosphere during all activities. Contribute to team leadership by mentoring assistant coaches and volunteers while fostering a collaborative environment. Requirements Proven experience coaching gymnastics at levels 3 through 10 or similar sports disciplines such as cheerleading or martial arts. Strong background in sports-specific training instruction with the ability to teach technical skills effectively. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience working with children and youth athletes. Knowledge of safety procedures including first aid, CPR certification, and AED operation; willingness to maintain current certifications. Excellent communication skills for client interaction with athletes' families and team members. Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; background in teaching physical education is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote positive athlete conduct. Additional skills such as cheerleading tumbling or recreation gymnastics are considered valuable assets. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed; enthusiasm for fostering athletic growth and team spirit.
