Our programs are led by professional coaches who focus on fostering teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship, ensuring each participant experiences growth both on and off the court. Job Summary We are seeking energetic and motivated Youth Sports Coaches specializing in Volleyball and Basketball to inspire young athletes and promote a love for sports. In this role, you will lead dynamic training sessions, teach fundamental skills, and create a positive environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives through sports coaching. Responsibilities Lead engaging volleyball and basketball practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Plan and execute age-appropriate drills and activities aligned with program curriculum. Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes positive behavior and respect among participants. Provide clear instructions and demonstrate techniques to enhance players' understanding of the game. Monitor participant progress, offer constructive feedback, and encourage continuous improvement. Manage behavior effectively using proven behavior management strategies to ensure a productive session. Collaborate with program staff to organize games, tournaments, and special events that boost team spirit. Requirements Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education, especially in volleyball or basketball. Background in sports such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (e.g., karate, judo), swimming, or other child-focused physical activities is a plus. Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain discipline during activities. Lifeguard experience or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate young athletes effectively.
