Part-Time, Year-Round We are looking to expand our Bloomfield team with a passionate swim instructor! As a swim lesson instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality small group and private swim lessons to children and will work on a team that is passionate about swimming and helping children! This is a part-time position and will work year-round depending around your schedule! We offer competitive pay and a friendly work environment with flexible hours. We provide a wide range of 1-on-1 and group lessons to support students from all backgrounds and levels. Our teaching philosophy is rooted in having fun and creating an environment where swimmers feel safe, supported, and simultaneously challenged. Our core mission is and always will be to offer the highest quality swim lessons in all of New Mexico, creating a name that is synonymous in the community with swim lessons. But beyond this lies our love for the Land of Enchantment and the love and community that our state is known for. We aren't just a business, we're a community dedicated to planting a respect for the water and a passion for swimming. Responsibilities Conduct small group swim lessons in a safe and fun manner Evaluate and track the progress of each student Communicate effectively with students and their parents to provide feedback and answer any questions they may have Demonstrate and explain proper swimming techniques to students Provide feedback and encouragement to help students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment. Required Qualifications CPR certification or ability to obtain one Water safety/swim instruction certification or ability to obtain one Ability to work well with children and adults Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility in your schedule and availability to work weekends Access to reliable transportation to and from the swim facility A passion and excitement for teaching and helping others Familiarity with swimming techniques Experience working with children Must pass a background check and drug test before employment Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of swim instruction or coaching experience Professional, volunteer, or academic experiences that demonstrate strong leadership abilities.Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:
