Position Summary:

LIU is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead its Men's and Women's Tennis programs as Head Coach. This full-time position, based on the LIU Post campus, is responsible for the overall direction, leadership, and development of both tennis programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to building competitive and inclusive teams, fostering the academic and athletic success of student-athletes, and upholding the values and standards of LIU Athletics.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct all aspects of the men's and women's tennis programs, including training, game planning, and competitive performance. Recruit, evaluate, and retain student-athletes who embody the academic and athletic standards of LIU. Support student-athlete development on and off the court, including academic success, leadership, and well-being. Ensure program compliance with all NCAA, conference, and LIU regulations and policies. Oversee the management of team operations, including budget, travel, scheduling, and equipment. Hire, supervise, and develop assistant coaches and support staff. Coordinate scouting, video analysis, and opponent preparation. Engage with alumni, campus departments, and community partners to promote the program. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and mutual respect within the teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of successful collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA level. Demonstrated success in recruiting and developing student-athletes. Strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
