Dance Teacher - Modern Miss Shona's Performing Arts Center Maplewood, NJ Job Details Part-time $25 - $50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Experience teaching visual & performing arts High school diploma or GED Experience working with children Working with students Lesson planning Teaching Full Job Description Miss Shona's Performing Arts Center in Maplewood, NJ is seeking energetic, positive, responsible and reliable Modern teacher on Tuesday evenings. Applicants must be available September through mid-June. Teaching experience is desirable but passion for working with children is a must. We are currently looking for a Modern Dance Teacher on Tuesdays evenings (ages 7+). Responsibilities include : Preparing lesson plans and teaching weekly dance classes (students of all ages) Teaching a variety of levels and ages Choreographing dances for our June recital and performances, including selecting music and costumes Maintaining the safety of our performers Upholding the professionalism and fun, positive energy of Miss Shona's PAC Qualified applicants will be required to perform a demo class as part of the hiring process. Pay rate is negotiable and dependent on experience and training. Teachers must have reliable transportation. Paid training will be provided for qualified candidates. New instructors may complete a paid training period before teaching independently.
