Job Description
DESCRIPTION
- Seeking highly effective professional educators to serve as teachers for the 2026-2027 Young Fives Full day classroom program
- Applicant must be well versed in early childhood development, best instructional practices, diagnostics and interventions.
- Applicant must embrace any District-wide approaches and applicable training for program implementation.
- Applicant must be prepared to teach students utilizing whole group, small group, centers/stations and tailor instruction to meet individual developmental needs.
- Applicant must be knowledgeable in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that supports the social and emotional development of all students.
- Applicants must be willing to work collaboratively with Community Education and Teaching and Learning.
- Assignment may have an extended annual work schedule to support student and family orientation into the program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current district professional educator
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate.
- Endorsement required, ZG or ZE and ZA or ZS.
- Effective or Highly Effective overall rating on most recent professional evaluation.
