PERCUSSION/DRUMS, VOICE, GUITAR, PIANO, BRASS, WOODWINDS, & STRINGS David's Music House (DMH) A Total Music Experience Position Summary David's Music House is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate Music Teachers to join our teaching team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with students of varying ages and abilities and who can create a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment. Our teachers do more than teach an instrument—they help students develop confidence, creativity, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music. They are Music Mentors! Responsibilities Provide high-quality, one-on-one music instruction to students. Teach students of varying ages, skill levels, and musical interests. Develop lessons that are engaging, educational, and appropriate for each student. Help students develop proper technique, musicianship, music theory, and performance skills. Encourage students to practice and set achievable musical goals. Prepare students for performances and other DMH events when appropriate. Maintain a positive, professional, and encouraging relationship with students and families. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress when appropriate. Maintain accurate attendance and lesson information through the DMH scheduling system. Follow DMH policies and procedures regarding scheduling, cancellations, make-ups, and communication. Work cooperatively with the DMH teaching team and contribute to a positive school environment. Provide a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for every student. Qualifications Strong proficiency on the instrument(s) being taught. Prior teaching experience preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong musical backgrounds and a desire to teach. Music degree, formal musical training, performance experience, or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to work with children, teens, and/or adults. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, patient, and professional. Positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed. Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities. Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team. Schedule Teaching schedules are based on student demand and teacher availability. Opportunities may include weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays , depending on the instrument and current student needs.
