We are looking for an educator who sees teaching as a profession—not simply childcare. What You'll Do Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences. Create a nurturing classroom that promotes children's social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development. Implement curriculum aligned with Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS). Observe, assess, and document children's progress using anecdotal observations, portfolios, and developmental assessments. Build positive partnerships with families through daily communication and family conferences. Maintain an organized, safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom. Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to maintain high-quality classroom practices. Ensure full compliance with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood licensing regulations. Participate in professional development and maintain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, and EpiPen). Utilize classroom technology and digital documentation systems effectively (Procare, Tadpoles, Microsoft Office, or similar).

Minimum QualificationsRequired:

✔ Associate Degree (minimum) in Early Childhood Education. ✔ Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is highly valued. ✔ Minimum one year of experience teaching in a licensed early childhood education program. ✔ Strong understanding of child development and Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). ✔ Excellent classroom management and positive guidance skills. ✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills. ✔ Ability to work collaboratively with families and colleagues. ✔ Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance.
