Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025-2026 school year. Pay is negotiable and increases based on experience.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in early childhood or child development OR teaching certificate with a specialization in preschool Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal The ability to engage students actively and meaningfully in their learning

Responsibilities:

Provide a welcoming and supportive climate to establish and reinforce acceptable child behavior, attitudes, and social skills. Implement developmentally appropriate instruction for children following the Creative Curriculum and the Michigan Early Childhood of Standards. Follow the daily schedule as outlined in the curriculum and GSRP guidelines. Maintain a routine schedule of observations, data collection, and data input. Conduct screening and ongoing assessment of children and provide age-appropriate instructional support. Follow all childcare licensing and GSRP rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well being of the children in your class. Collaborate and plan with the associate teacher. Communicate regularly with parents by means of a newsletter, notes, phone calls, home visits, and individual parent conferences. Promote parent participation and involvement in educational activities. Conduct two home visits per year for each child. Meet with Early Childhood Specialist as needed to ensure quality programming. Perform other duties as assigned.
