Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on infant development milestones and individual needs. Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster strong relationships with children by engaging in interactive play, sensory activities, and early learning experiences that promote cognitive and emotional growth. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, maintaining transparency and trust. Lead classroom management efforts to create an organized, clean, and inviting environment conducive to learning and exploration. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid, CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws. Mentor and support assistant teachers or staff members to uphold high standards of childcare quality and professionalism. Skills Extensive experience working with infants in daycare or early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including infant care best practices. Proficiency in child supervision, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Certified in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and familiar with safety protocols specific to infant care. Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children while demonstrating patience and empathy. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide a team while maintaining a positive classroom environment.
