New Hope Manor in Barryville, NY is looking for a Daycare Teacher to support our Parenting Program. Our staff work to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children at our facility. Please note - the daycare is for clients only, not for staff children. The daycare operates Monday-Friday 8:00a- 4:00p. At times, you will be in the daycare overseeing children, and at times you will go WIC shopping with moms offsite for childcare needs.

Childcare Responsibilities Include:

Follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises Provide basic care and caregiving activities Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child's abilities Remain in constant communication with Parenting Program Supervisor Observe children's interactions and promote the spirit of concord Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action Collaborate with other colleagues Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Associates Degree (min), or be currently enrolled or have at least 9 credits in a childhood development program or related field. requirement and must be met. 1 year experience related to caring for children less than 13 years of age 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified by OCFS Ability to communicate effectively Ability to multitask New Hope Manor is a tobacco-free/vape free facility. You must pass a drug test to be eligible for employment. Background checks are required by the agency.
