Job Description

A New Day Child Development Center is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our Texas Rising Star 4-Star early childhood program. We are looking for a passionate educator who believes in creating meaningful learning experiences, building strong relationships with children and families, and preparing children for a successful transition to kindergarten. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum . Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and creativity. Foster children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development through hands-on learning experiences. Complete observations, assessments, lesson plans, and child portfolios using Teaching Strategies GOLD. Build positive relationships and maintain open communication with families. Supervise and mentor classroom assistants while maintaining a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and Texas Rising Star standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Qualifications Experience teaching children ages 1-5 years of age in a licensed childcare center or preschool. CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to helping every child succeed. Ability to meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Why Join Our Team? Please Consider Our Location Before Applying We are looking for a dedicated educator who is interested in finding a long-term home with our school and becoming a valued part of our team . Before submitting your resume, we kindly ask that you look up our school's location at 4828 Bee Creek Road, Spicewood TX and consider the daily commute , including traffic during peak morning and afternoon hours. We want to be respectful of your time as well as ours and make sure the commute is something that will be comfortable and manageable for you long-term. Our goal is to find the right person for the position who is excited to grow with our school for years to come . We would hate to find a wonderful teacher, only for the distance or daily traffic to make the position unsustainable.
