Job Description
A New Day Child Development Center is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our Texas Rising Star 4-Star early childhood program. We are looking for a passionate educator who believes in creating meaningful learning experiences, building strong relationships with children and families, and preparing children for a successful transition to kindergarten. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum . Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and creativity. Foster children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development through hands-on learning experiences. Complete observations, assessments, lesson plans, and child portfolios using Teaching Strategies GOLD. Build positive relationships and maintain open communication with families. Supervise and mentor classroom assistants while maintaining a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and Texas Rising Star standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Qualifications Experience teaching children ages 1-5 years of age in a licensed childcare center or preschool. CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to helping every child succeed. Ability to meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Why Join Our Team?
