Desired Qualifications:

Certification in Special Education (or eligibility) Experience with life skills or alternate curriculum classrooms Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel Compassionate, adaptable, and centered on student success Previous experience at the elementary and/or high school level is highly valued

Core Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and modify daily lesson plans based on individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster life skills and functional academic development within the classroom Collaborate with related service providers, instructional aides, and families Track progress, conduct assessments, and maintain detailed documentation Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing team collaboration This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 21, 2027giving you the chance to form deep connections with your students as you guide them through meaningful academic and personal growth.
