Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting a unique virtual school program based at the district office near Pinson, AL. This contract opportunity is ideal for an educator who excels in individualized instruction and relishes working with a small, targeted caseload of about 7 students. You will collaborate closely with the Special Education Director and contribute to the success of a forward-thinking district initiative designed for virtual learners.

Key Qualifications:

Active and valid Special Education teaching license. Prior experience supporting virtual learning environments, or adaptable to technology-enhanced instruction. Exceptional ability to individualize instruction for diverse learning needs. Strong communication skills for regular collaboration with district staff, students, and families. Experience with small caseloads and a proven track record of positive student outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in the virtual setting. Deliver direct instruction to students onsite at the district office, ensuring academic and social-emotional growth. Collaborate closely with the Sped Director and other support staff to coordinate resources and student supports. Maintain accurate documentation and provide progress updates to families and the district. Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as required by the district.
