This contract position is ideal for someone committed to delivering exceptional patient care, operating state-of-the-art imaging equipment, and collaborating with a highly supportive clinical team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Demonstrated expertise in CT and CT/PET imaging procedures Current ARRT (CT) certification or equivalent credentials required Minimum of one year of recent experience in a hospital or clinical imaging setting Proficiency with advanced imaging equipment and digital recordkeeping systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient safety and comfort Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality CT and CT/PET scans as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures, providing clear instructions to reduce anxiety and achieve optimal results Accurately set up and operate imaging equipment, regularly verifying function and calibration Maintain precise documentation, including patient histories and technical details of each study Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective diagnosis and treatment Uphold privacy and confidentiality standards when handling patient information Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and promptly report larger concerns for service
