Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract Professionals with expertise in imaging and Cath Lab technology are needed for a contract opportunity. This position involves playing a vital role in supporting cardiovascular procedures and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Qualifications:
Certified Cath Lab Technologist or equivalent credentials Proficient in operating imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment Solid understanding of sterile techniques, radiation safety, and catheterization procedures Experience assisting during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures is preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members Flexible, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare the Cath Lab suite, ensuring all supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies Operate and monitor imaging systems to capture high-quality diagnostic images Document procedural data and maintain accurate patient records Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure care as directed Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with skilled professionals while making a significant impact on patient outcomes.
