Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher. This onsite position focuses on providing individualized instruction and resource support for 3rd through 6th graders. Youll play an essential part in helping students reach their potential in a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current Special Education Certification for grades K-6 Experience or strong interest in working with resource caseloads in an elementary or upper elementary school Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered classroom atmosphere Ability to develop IEPs and collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction to a manageable caseload of approximately 10-12 students Adapt curriculum materials and implement individualized education plans based on each students unique strengths and needs Track progress, keep detailed documentation, and routinely update IEPs in collaboration with team members Participate in parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and school-based professional development Provide guidance and support within the resource classroom, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all learners Enjoy a stable weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, working closely with dynamic colleagues and dedicated support staff.
