- 1 •Position Overview•We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated •Special Education Teacher•to join a year-round Behavioral Health Residential Treatment Program.
This unique opportunity allows educators to work closely with students who require intensive academic, behavioral, and emotional support in a structured residential setting. Students reside on campus and attend self-contained classrooms staffed by a Special Education Teacher and a Direct Care Professional (Paraprofessional). This role is ideal for educators who thrive in highly supportive environments and are passionate about making a lasting impact on students facing significant life challenges.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
+ Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
+ Create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
+ Collaborate with paraprofessionals, administrators, counselors, and support staff.
+ Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
+ Conduct student assessments and monitor progress.
+ Maintain accurate student records and required documentation.
+ Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations.

- Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements
- + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
+ Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.
+ Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification preferred.
+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred.
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.
+ Current health certificate and TB documentation, if required.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Commitment to professional standards and best practices in special education.
