Our school setting and approach are different from a traditional school. We are looking for caring, patient, and dependable professionals who genuinely enjoy working with children, want to make a meaningful difference in a student's life, and are willing to think outside the box, work creatively and collaborate as part of a supportive team. We are looking for someone who cares about students, is patient and supportive, and wants to be part of a team that works differently. The right person is willing to be flexible, think creatively, and help each student succeed in a way that is meaningful for that individual child. Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on each student's educational needs, present levels, IEP goals, strengths, and learning profile. Develop creative and meaningful lessons that can be adapted to different academic and functional levels. Implement IEP goals, accommodations and modifications; collect student data and monitor progress. Collaborate with related-service providers, participate in IEP and student-team meetings, and communicate with families and school leadership. Be flexible and willing to teach in a nontraditional environment where learning may take place in different spaces and through hands-on activities.
