Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in grades 6-8 as a Special Education Teacher in a classroom dedicated to Significant Support Needs. This contract role offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of a small caseload of just five students, ensuring focused attention and individualized instruction. You'll collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and work regular hours designed to foster work-life balance. The assignment begins immediately and may continue through the end of May. Your schedule will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:40 AM to 3:50 PM, with a slightly later start on Wednesdays (9:40 AM to 3:50 PM). Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education Teacher certification or license; please provide documentation upon applying Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8), especially in Special Education settings Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with Significant Support Needs Skill in preparing and executing IEPs, collaborating with families, and contributing to a positive classroom culture

Develop and implement tailored lesson plans meeting the diverse learning needs of your small caseload Evaluate student progress and adapt instruction accordingly Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment Work collaboratively with general educators, therapists, and families for comprehensive student support This role offers a contract-based structure with steady, reliable hours and the stability of a consistent assignment.
