Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain certification. Experience teaching or supporting students with special needs at the secondary (high school) level. Expertise in individualized education programs (IEPs), differentiated instruction, and behavior management strategies. Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, staff, and fellow educators. Ability to foster an inclusive, empowering learning atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and deliver tailored instruction aligned with students IEP goals. Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet changing needs. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications. Maintain and update student records, documentation, and compliance requirements. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities. Serve as an advocate for students with disabilities, encouraging self-advocacy and independence.
