This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated educator passionate about inclusive communication and specialized instruction.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility). Experience working with school-aged children with hearing loss. Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), auditory/oral approaches, or other relevant communication modalities. Ability to adapt curricula for diverse learning and communication needs. Collaborative attitude—skilled at working alongside multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff. Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in individual and/or group settings. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student abilities and goals. Foster a supportive and accessible classroom environment through assistive technology and strategic accommodations. Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to ensure educational consistency and inclusion. Serve as an advocate for students' academic and social-emotional needs within the school community. Engage families, providing guidance and updates on student progress and resources.
