Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a nurturing, dedicated setting. This contract opportunity spans from ASAP through May 21, 2027, providing stability and the chance to foster meaningful growth in young learners. You will be working onsite with a small class of K-2 students, primarily non-verbal and with adaptive needs, making a significant impact every day. Your background in special education will ensure the individualized attention and structured environment crucial for these students success. Desired Qualifications:
Active Georgia Special Education License required Adaptive Curriculum Certification or endorsement (GA Adaptive Certs) mandatory Previous experience teaching or supporting children with autism is highly advantageous Ability to manage a small group setting and develop tailored instructional strategies Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with support staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and interventions for K-2 students with adaptive curriculum needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Utilize augmentative and alternative communication tools as appropriate Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom for non-verbal students Engage in regular communication and partnership with parents and multidisciplinary teams
