Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Illinois licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Deep understanding of strategies, interventions, and technologies for supporting deaf/hard of hearing students Experience developing and implementing IEPs Collaborative spirit to work alongside general educators, parents, and support staff Strong communication and advocacy skills Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to student needs in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct instructional support to a small caseload of five students Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address individualized educational needs Engage in regular interaction and consultation with classroom teachers and families to foster inclusive practices Utilize assistive technology and visual supports to maximize student engagement and access to curriculum Monitor, assess, and document student progress and adjust plans accordingly Participate in IEP meetings and team collaborations
