Job Description

Make a significant impact supporting students at a vibrant junior high environment near Franklin, IN, as a contracted Special Education Teacher. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with dedicated teams and to foster student learning and growth in a supportive educational setting.
Two positions are available:
A Special Education Resource Teacher working with a caseload of 25-30 students (Mild Intervention certification required). A Special Education Essential Teacher supporting 10 students with higher needs (Intense Intervention certification required).
Core Qualifications:
Valid Indiana teaching license in Special Education. Certification in Mild Intervention and/or Intense Intervention, depending on caseload. Experience working with middle school students and a passion for inclusive education. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with other educators and families. Organizational skills for managing IEPs, tracking progress, and planning individualized instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with individual student needs. Maintain accurate documentation and develop, implement, and monitor IEPs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes. Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Provide direct support and interventions to maximize student engagement and growth.
Schedule and Setting:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week School-day hours are 8:20 AM to 3:10 PM (final times subject to change based on classroom needs) Positions begin soon and extend throughout the contract term.
