Job Description

Make a difference every day supporting students in a welcoming educational environment near Franklin, IN! Two rewarding opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to work full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday) with a vibrant junior high community. Whether your strength lies in mild intervention support or making an impact with students requiring intense intervention, youll be central to student success and inclusion.
Open Positions:
SPED Resource Teacher:
Caseload of 25-30 students, requiring Indiana licensure in mild intervention.
SPED Essential Teacher:
Caseload of approximately 10 students, must hold Indiana licensure in intense intervention. Youll collaborate with a supportive team and experience a structured schedule from 8:20 AM to 3:10 PM (room assignment may affect these hours), all within a school invested in ongoing improvement and strong community values.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Indiana Teaching License with appropriate Special Education endorsement (mild or intense intervention) Experience managing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Strong classroom management and differentiation skills Enthusiasm for fostering growth and self-advocacy among students Strong communication skills with families and colleagues
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students specific learning needs Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies in resource or essential settings Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Communicate regularly with parents/guardians Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations This contract position offers a chance for meaningful professional growth, close collaboration with educators, and a manageable, well-supported caseload.
