This opportunity welcomes compassionate professionals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary and secondary students. You'll collaborate closely with fellow educators and staff to tailor learning experiences in both resource and self-contained classroom settings, fostering confidence, growth, and independence among students with diverse learning needs.
What We're Looking For:
Valid, active Special Education Teaching license (emergency certifications not accepted) Prior experience working in special education environments preferred Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills Genuine passion for student advocacy and empowerment
Your Role Will Include:
Serving as a Special Education Teacher in one of the following settings: Elementary Resource, Secondary Resource, Secondary ASD room, or Elementary TI room Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs to ensure individualized student growth Creating engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to varying ability levels Partnering with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic approach to student success Providing a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere Maintaining clear records of student progress and communicating regularly with families This full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract position provides the chance to make a lasting impact while honing your expertise in a dynamic educational environment.
