Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Hold an active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 and Tier 2 are welcome, though Tiers 3 and 4 are preferred) Licensed in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) Recent experience working within a school setting with elementary-aged students Demonstrated success supporting students with diverse emotional and behavioral needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and families Availability for a full 40-hour work week in a center-based classroom
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and individualized support to a caseload of approximately 11 students (subject to slight changes based on enrollment) Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to build effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Manage behavioral interventions and strategies within the classroom environment Track student progress, keeping accurate records and reporting as required Foster a safe, engaging, and positive classroom climate Embark on a rewarding journey working closely with students who benefit greatly from your expertise and compassion.
