Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting K-12 students within a specialized Setting 4 program starting this September! This important role places you alongside dedicated educators and support staff, working closely with students who benefit from individualized guidance and care. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, through December 7, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM—offering a consistent daytime schedule. As a key resource for students, you'll foster positive engagement, assist with classroom routines, reinforce instructional goals, and provide targeted, compassionate support for learners who thrive with additional structure.
Qualifications:
Status as a Highly Qualified Paraprofessional, achieved via one of the following: Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (attach testing documentation) At least 60 college credits (submit official transcripts; diplomas/degree certificates do not suffice) Previous experience in a school setting, especially supporting diverse learners, is highly valued Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills Ability to remain patient, flexible, and proactive in a dynamic educational environment Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding school district policies
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with students in a Setting 4 environment, K-12 population Implement individualized strategies and accommodations as directed by educational staff Support teaching staff with classroom management and daily learning activities Help develop students' social skills, independence, and academic success Upon reaching 422 contracted hours, candidates are considered for direct hire.
