This contract role partners with a dedicated district team and provides the opportunity to work with both high school and elementary school age groups in an inclusive, resource-rich environment near Anoka, MN.

What youll bring:

Valid state certification in Special Education with relevant teaching experience Understanding of IEPs and demonstrated ability to implement individualized adaptations Background working with students with a variety of disabilities, preferably in both elementary and high school settings Exceptional organization skills for tracking due process documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with colleagues, administrators, and families Ability to adapt gym/physical education activities to fully support student engagement and progress Key responsibilities: Plan and execute daily gym and physical education classes for students with special needs, in full alignment with their IEPs Split time between a high school (leading two consecutive classes each school day) and an elementary site (two days per week in the classroom) Collaborate with the DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education) team to share best practices and ensure consistency of support Maintain accurate records and complete all administrative and due process documentation as required Foster a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and safe This is a contract role offering the chance to build meaningful relationships across age groups, gain experience with a renowned school district, and refine your expertise alongside a supportive team.
