Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity awaits for a licensed Special Education Teacher with a Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement to provide vital support to K-12 students with physical impairments. Based in a collaborative educational environment for the 2026-2027 academic year, this position is perfect for a compassionate professional eager to make a meaningful impact by delivering tailored instruction and advocacy for students access to learning.
Key Qualifications:
Current Special Education license with Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement required Experience supporting K-12 students with physical and health impairments Skilled in assessing student needs, developing and implementing IEPs, and monitoring progress Comfortable providing consultations on curriculum modifications, classroom accessibility, and assistive technology Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and general educators Strong communication and organization skills
Role Responsibilities:
Serve as an itinerant Teacher of the Physically Impaired, consulting on accessibility and adaptations Conduct functional evaluations for students and contribute to ongoing due process management Write individualized education plans (IEPs), track student achievements, and update documentation as required Partner with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and classroom teachers to support holistic student success Deliver direct and consultative services in a variety of educational settings Engage regularly with families and staff to ensure students needs are met with best practices This on-site position offers the chance to advocate for student independence and educational access across multiple grade levels.
