Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility for Minnesota licensure) Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Familiarity with a broad range of disabilities and instructional strategies Comfortable developing and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Responsibilities Include:
Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's IEP Assessing student progress and making data-driven instructional decisions Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff Leading IEP meetings and maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation Facilitating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence Utilizing assistive technology and evidence-based instructional approaches Communicating proactively with parents and guardians regarding student development
