Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by stepping into the role of a Special Education Teacher for a rewarding full-time contract assignment near Saint Paul, MN. In this position, you will support a dedicated team at a bustling elementary school, working closely with a classroom of approximately ten students with diverse needs, aided by three experienced paraprofessionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in a cluster classroom setting, with a focus on serving students in a center-based DCD/ASD environment. This assignment runs from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027, covering 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7:20 am-3:20 pm). The role is exclusively onsite, ensuring direct, hands-on connection with students and colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher credentials, with knowledge of DCD/ASD best practices. Previous experience working in center-based or cluster settings preferred. Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills. Ability to develop and implement IEPs while fostering inclusivity and growth. Passion for fostering a positive, supportive learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to meet individual student needs. Work closely with a team of paraprofessionals to manage classroom dynamics. Collaborate with school staff and families to promote student success. Maintain accurate records, assessments, and progress reports. Uphold compliance with educational regulations and best practices in special education.
