Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity serving students with diverse learning needs in a supportive, collaborative environment. This full-time role runs from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027, and is based at a well-organized elementary school. Youll work in a cluster classroom setting, partnering closely with three paraprofessionals and providing tailored instruction for approximately ten students. As a dedicated Special Education Teacher, you'll be instrumental in making a real difference for students with significant disabilities, including those with developmental cognitive or autism spectrum disorders. Your expertise and compassion will shape a learning space where every child can thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher licensure for K-12 (Minnesota) Experience working in center-based settings focused on DCD/ASD populations Proven ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessional support staff Strong understanding of IEP implementation and data collection Excellent communication skills with students, families, and team members Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to on-site, in-person work only (No hybrid or virtual options)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction in a cluster/center-based classroom environment Develop, adapt, and monitor IEP goals tailored to individual student needs Oversee and provide guidance to three classroom paraprofessionals Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning atmosphere Implement evidence-based strategies for managing behaviors and supporting student growth Maintain open communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
