This contract position offers the chance to work part-time onsite, focusing on students in self-contained classrooms and providing valuable support within the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program. As a critical member of the team, youll be responsible for meeting the diverse needs of students, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere. Mondays are dedicated to paperwork and meetings, giving you the opportunity to plan, coordinate, and advocate effectively. In addition, youll serve as a float substitute within the ECSE program as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Hold an active IL SPED License (required) Experience working in self-contained classrooms strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation Flexibility to serve as a float sub within early childhood settings when available Understanding of and compliance with any state or district-specific requirements Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs Maintain accurate and timely educational records Collaborate with other special education staff, parents, and related service providers Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, Monday planning sessions, and team discussions Implement evidence-based strategies to foster student growth and engagement Step in as a substitute teacher within the ECSE program as needed
