Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with students demonstrating severe behavioral or mental health needs preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and implementation Ability to develop individualized academic and behavioral interventions Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a blended classroom of middle and high school students, delivering tailored instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs Design and implement strategies to address behavioral and emotional needs, maintaining a structured and encouraging classroom setting Collaborate daily with the on-site social-emotional program professional to support student development Oversee and coordinate with paraprofessionals who rotate between students or provide dedicated 1:1 support, as required by IEPs Ensure thorough documentation and progress reporting in accordance with educational standards and compliance requirements Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
