This contract position offers full-time opportunities for both severe/profound certified teachers and mild/moderate certified teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year, starting in mid-August and concluding in late May.

Key Qualifications:

Current certification in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education is required. Severe/Profound or Mild/Moderate Special Education certification, depending on the position. At least one year of hands-on experience in a special education classroom is needed. Strong communication abilities and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, families, and support staff. Preference given to candidates with experience or certification at the early childhood or elementary level.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students abilities and needs. Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment that encourages engagement, progress, and positive behavior. Adapt and differentiate instruction for students with varying levels of need, from severe/profound to mild/moderate disabilities. Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to deliver comprehensive support. Effectively communicate student progress and strategies with parents and team members. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development opportunities throughout the contract.
